Matthew Gourlay - Partner

Matthew Gourlay is a partner, and Co-Chair of the Criminal Litigation Practice Group at Henein Hutchison Robitaille LLP. He practises primarily in criminal and regulatory law, at both the trial and appellate level. He appears regularly in the Ontario Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada as well as trial courts in Ontario and elsewhere in Canada. His appellate work encompasses criminal, regulatory, and civil matters. He also prosecutes and defends cases before a variety of professional disciplinary tribunals. Additionally, Matthew has broad experience in extradition and national security law. 

Kelsey is an associate at Henein Hutchison Robitaille LLP, where her practice focuses on criminal and regulatory litigation. She is a fierce defender of her clients’ rights and a relentless advocate in pursuit of their interests. She is also a certified workplace investigator with experience investigating serious, complex, and high-profile matters that frequently involve allegations of regulatory non-compliance and/or physical and sexual violence. She is a contributing author of Hutchison’s Search Warrant Manual and the firm’s lead editorial researcher on issues related to section 8 of the Charter.

Brandon is an associate at Henein Hutchison Robitaille LLP. He maintains a diverse practice that includes criminal and regulatory defence, constitutional law, and administrative law litigation. Brandon also has a special focus on appeals. He has acted as counsel before all levels of court in Ontario, as well as the Federal Court, the Federal Court of Appeal, and the Supreme Court of Canada.

Jessica Proskos is an associate at Henein Hutchison Robitaille LLP. Her practice focuses primarily on criminal law at both the trial and appellate level, as well as regulatory and professional discipline, education law, and institutional investigations.
